Join the list

Campaigns are won by people who show up. Tell me who you are and I’ll be in touch about what needs doing — knocking on doors, putting up a sign, hosting a meet-up, or just voting and telling a neighbour why.

Count me in

Only the email address is required. Everything else just helps me put you in touch with the right thing.

So I know whether you vote in Nelson.

Your details are never sold or shared, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Invite a friend

Every referral helps, and a note from someone you know counts for more than anything I can send a stranger. Put in a name and an email and we’ll write the welcome for you — it opens in your own mail so it arrives from you, with me copied in to follow up.

Nothing is sent until you press send in your own email. Or just forward them the site.

The cheapest and most persuasive advertising a local campaign has, because it says a neighbour vouched for me. Comes with the stake.

Wear it. It travels further than a lawn, and it doesn’t need a yard.

Pick what you can take. I deliver these myself, which is why I need somewhere to bring them. Chip in if you can — $0 is fine.

What happens next

  1. I get in touch to confirm the address and a time.
  2. I drop it off. Lawn signs come with the stake. Printable posters are ready to tape up.
  3. Signs only go up where the owner or tenant has said yes, and they come down after the vote — I collect the signs, you don’t have to do anything. The poster and the button are yours to keep.

Not able to display anything? Get on the update list instead, or send this to a neighbour who has a good corner lot.

The rules

The Local Elections Campaign Financing Act. Breaking it is an offence, and the money has to be returned. Questions: (250) 509-0773.

Who can contribute

  • BC resident, and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • No organizations — no companies, unions, societies, or your own business.
  • Your own money. No reimbursements, and you cannot give on someone else’s behalf.

How much

  • $1,429.70 in total to this campaign in 2026, counting money, loans, and in-kind. Elections BC adjusts it annually.
  • Over the limit has to be returned. The limit applies every year.

What is recorded

  • Full name, home address, date, and amount. Home address, not a box number.
  • $100 or more in the year is publicly disclosed. Elections BC obscures addresses.
  • No anonymous gifts online. Not tax-receiptable. Accepted by Bede Bloome, financial agent.
